Greetings and Salutations
Hi there and welcome to my blog! My name is Reilley I am a junior at North Central College. I am a communications major and a film studies minor, someday you will see my name in tiny font scroll across a screen. But honestly, I think I went into communications because even if it doesn't seem like it I am one of the most anxious people you will ever meet. So here I am paying thousands upon thousands of dollars to be taught how to properly communicate because evidently, I couldn't figure that one out for myself.
In all reality, I am a person who likes to know what's going to happen. If I had a crystal ball and could look into the future I would use that like water. I would be looking at what I am going to eat today, what the weather will be like next week, everything. I am the read the last chapter first, google what happens in shows I am watching, re-read or re-watches the same thing over and over again because I know what happens type of person. It is also the reason I am what I would like to call a practical hopeless romantic like
Amy in "Little Women" yes... I am an Amy. I know what happens in the real world but I can't help thinking about and falling deeply into love whenever it's thrown my way. I will never pass up an opportunity to watch a Katherin Heigle rom-com or watch "When Harry met Sally" again.
So yeah, that's me your average rom-com-loving anxiety film girl who has never seen "The Wolf of Wallstreet" and probably never will. I promise you will learn more about me in every post but I do love to keep a veil of mystery. See you next time!

Hey there!
ReplyDeleteMy brother went to Benedictine University and majored in communications as well! He went from being a soft-spoken individual, to the most exquisite audience capturing speaker I have ever seen in 4 short years. I feel like I would not use that crystal ball, obviously with the exception to the weather and maybe lottery numbers. I look forward to a great year!
Best,
Shane Rollins
Hi Reilley!
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I have to ask--is the your "Greetings and Salutations" title a reference to Heathers?
Secondly, as an avid When Harry Met Sally lover myself (I literally watched it twice in a row yesterday. I think I can speak for the both of us when I say the film is just that good), I completely understand. I am a Jo March girl myself, but I do have Amy tendencies. I also have to praise you on the Laurie and Jo cover photo for your website. That scene kills. Have you ever seen the '94 adaptation of Little Women with Winona Ryder and Christian Bale? I highly recommend it if you haven't. I love both adaptations for different reasons. If you can't tell by anything I've written above, I also have never seen The Wolf of Wall Street.
I'm excited to learn more about you this year!
Molly
